Scaffold was constructed and the entire building, from the first floor up was encapsulated with weather protecting shrink wrap inclusive of full roof encapsulation. This was done in such a way to allow ground floor retail operations to continue throughout the project.
Recladding was performed using a mixture of Nu-wall and Symonite aluminium cladding involving very tight construction tolerances. In addition, the existing roof was deconstructed and rebuilt installing also a new canopy to the retail units.
The building had to remain partially tenanted throughout construction, including throughout the ground floor retail units which remained fully operational for the duration of the work.
