After a successful tender process, SRG Global was awarded the contract to undertake the installation of 12 metres of replacement kiln brick lining, complete with an insulation board backing layer. The shutdown was completed around the clock over a 6 day period plus an additional two day variation to the original scope.
Although the refractory reinstatement was relatively short in duration, productivity was high. The work was completed within record time, a high degree of safety, and to required quality standards.
Pre-start preparation included completion of a comprehensive safe work method statement (SWMS) encompassing a comprehensive JRA process and employee competency matrix. At project completion, the client provided excellent commendations regarding SRG Global‘s professionalism and level competence.
